Holiday Inn: Custom Trex Pergola Kit in Las Vegas

Project Overview:

Fong Construction worked with Holiday Inn Desert Club Resort located in Las Vegas to create a shade producing custom Trex Pergola. They wanted to provide respite for resort guests and pool goers from Nevada’s sweltering sun, while incorporating electrical features for added amenities. Ceiling fans and sconce lights help circulate dry air and provide evening lighting, while misters provide immediate cooling relief. Holiday Inn was looking for a custom structure that would follow the angles of the pool enclosure and blend seamlessly into the architectural design of the building with the perfect shade of color.

Challenge:

Holiday Inn needed a shade structure which provided low-maintenance, architectural detail and was able to cover the odd shaped location while providing cooling shade. Structureworks addressed the following challenges:

Solution:

Fong Construction, in collaboration with Structureworks, provided a custom Trex Pergola with integrated wiring for decorative sconces and ceiling fans providing evening lighting and air circulation throughout the day. A custom ColorLast finish helped the structure blend seamlessly into the resort.

Resort and pool guests can now sip a cold drink, enjoy the weather and take comfort in the cooling shade provided by closely spaced stringers which provide heavy shade coverage while families swim and splash nearby.
