Lawrence House, located in the vibrant 14th Street corridor of Washington, DC recently underwent a major renovation featuring a 1,500 square foot community rooftop deck. Providing magnificent views of the majestic Meridian Hill Park and overlooking the Washington, DC, skyline, this upscale condominium building features an expansive outdoor kitchen area complete with seating and sheltering low-maintenance fiberglass shade structure which provides a classic touch to this scenic outdoor living area.
Challenge:
Madison Investments wanted to create an exclusive shaded rooftop area where condo residents could relax, cook a meal and soak in the city views. With special historical requirements, high wind gusts and frequent use, Structureworks had to meet many challenges:

Structureworks collaborated with Mid Atlantic Contracting to come up with an expansive, low-maintenance, custom fiberglass pergola kit which met strict aesthetic requirements, while also completing the modern space.
