Project Overview:
The Atrium Villas are central to Seabrook Island where comfort, location and spectacular aquatic views converge. The fully renovated property offers charming villas with spacious decks which boast fiberglass shade structures with provided sun coverage. The clean white pergolas are conveniently placed throughout the property to refine and enclose the space for a functional, shady retreat. Steps from the oceanfront restaurant, beach club, pools and other local amenities, this may be the perfect vacation spot.
Challenge:
Atrium Villas wanted to ground the courtyard with low-maintenance shade structures and add shade to walkways and patios overlooking the golf course and ocean. Sun protection was imperative to enjoy the spectacular views all day long. Structureworks addressed the following challenges:
Solution:
Structureworks, working directly with Cooper River Contracting, designed many low-maintenance, attached fiberglass pergola kits with function and simplicity in mind. Providing a sense of enclosure on the upper decks and lower level courtyard, these Villas are now equipped with shade coverage.
Benefits:
With the open concept courtyard, shade was an essential aspect to the design and helped bring the ceiling height down to create an open air room. Working with CRC, Structureworks was able to provide low-maintenance fiberglass shade structures with simple detail and ShadeRight Fixed canopies to compliment the current lines of the villas. Strategically placed over walkways, decks and common areas within the property, guests can unwind under cooling cover even while exploring. With constant use, salty air and daily direct sun, these shade structures provide unmatched function and lasting beauty to this beachside retreat.
